A fun and engaging book!
The first book in the Living in Eden series and I can tell you that this is not a bad start at all. It piqued my interest, and I couldn’t put it down. I thought I figured out some of the plots, but damn, the last chapter seriously surprised me.
My initial guess was that Eden’s father would be a mere wizard! But no, Michelle would not settle for that as it wasn’t powerful enough. Also, Ben, who’s the golden boy, has joined the group!
Now, I’m not too sure about him being with Eden anymore. But, Darrak, the demon and Eden surely make a wonderful couple. So, I’m on the Darrak team!

Book #2 in The Eden Riley Series! Every woman has a sexy demon inside her just waiting to get out, but for Eden Riley it’s literal. Her inner demon is named Darrak, and he’s been inhabiting bodies for the past 300 years. In the daytime, he takes physical shape—a shape she wouldn’t mind getting her hands on if it wasn’t a threat to her immortal soul.

My thoughts…
Down to the second book, and I still find it interesting. Just one thing, I was left disappointed with the title of Eden’s father. It wasn’t the highest ranking in the angel realm. Cerberus, eh, I thought it would be an archangel 🤣 and oh, the angel in the Malleus prison, red hair, green eyes…Erm, ring a bell? We’ll find out more in the next book and see if we’re correct.
Nevertheless, it’s an exciting read, Eden meeting up face to face with the devil itself, revelation on Darrak’s past and oh Leena, what was it in your locker? I bet it’s something useful, maybe one that would be useful for them.
The Old Black Magic
Book #3 in The Eden Riley Series! Eden Riley knows that codependent relationships aren’t a good idea, but it’s hard to be independent when you’re possessed by a gorgeous, troublemaking demon.
Darrak’s physical form makes Eden want to go bad, but a constant need to use the soul-destroying black magic brought on by her curse might force this good witch to explore her dark side in an entirely different way.
As Eden strives to learn how to cope with her magic, everything else in her life starts spiralling out of control. Does Eden have a chance at a happy life with the demon of her dreams before everything literally goes to hell?
My thoughts…
Content for the happy ending but also sad that the series is finally over. There is more information to digest at the end, my head is still swimming with it, and it feels like the author rushed it without a proper closing.
My preference is a soft landing, wishing it’s a tad bit longer so that I don’t feel like being hit by a full-speed train that stops abruptly. A prologue is much welcome to soften the blow! For that, I gave one star less than the previous two books. Overall, it’s a 4.5-star series! Still, it’s not a bad score at all.
