    Edinburgh Scotland

The sun was just about to rise on the horizon at 8:40 am when dad drove us to Picaddily station to catch the train to Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. We've already booked the return tickets online, and when we got to the station, we printed it out. Our train departed at 9:26 am and reached York after 75 minutes journey. From this station, our next train journey to Edinburgh Waverly station took 2 hours and 27 minutes.

    Day Out in Manchester

Our trip this time was about to reach the end. With only two more days left In the UK, we went to Manchester city centre by Metro from Hollinwood to Market Street. While I was doing the shopping at Primark, Mike was waiting for me at The Shakespeare and had a few pints. Once I finished with my shopping, I joined him for a pint before we moved on to another bar walking past the beautiful Town Hall. We went in for a quick pint at The Old Nags Head. The selection of beers was great, and there were many pictures of George Best hung on the wall and also…

    The Big Smoke

London or also known as The Big Smoke is the largest city in the United Kingdom. There are so many things to do in this big city, but we only have two nights to spend here. Having said so, we need to manage our time wisely and pray that the weather would be alright. We travelled via Virgin Trains from Piccadilly to London Euston. We had booked the ticket online and had it printed out at the Kiosk machine at the station. The return train ticket for two cost @ £117.70. The train departed at 11:15 am on the dot. Throughout the journey, whenever we came across with a flock…

    Hamburg

Hamburg is the second largest city in Germany, but with only three nights to spend here, we definitely won’t have enough time to explore the city. In this trip, Mike’s parents travelling with us too making this trip merrier 🙂 We reached Leonardo hotel at 6:30 pm after an hour forty minutes flying with Easyjet from Manchester. The hotel is located just 1.4km away from the airport, and it was perfect to spend a night there before moving to the other hotel at the city centre in the next morning. On the first night out, we took Hansa-Taxi to Gröninger Privatbrauerei which was located about 26 minutes drive from our…

Old Trafford Museum & Stadium Tour

Where do Asian’s United fans go when they travel to Manchester?Well, they can either watch a match or go to the museum and stadium tour. I admit that I was not into football before I met Mike. But he has always been a United fan and therefore, he took me to the tour to educate me on the history and also explore the stadium.  We had our lunch at Kabana while meeting with Mike’s mate Eamon and then we took Metrolink from city zone to Old Trafford @ £2.80. The tram stopped just next to Lancashire County Cricket Club on Warwick Road, and we walked for about 10 minutes to…

    Journey to The West

Our trip this time was planned three days before the departure date. The original plan was to travel to Vietnam and also Thailand. However, we have to change the destination due to the situation over the sea dispute between China and Vietnam were still ongoing and I was a bit worried to travel over there. In the three days before we leave, we sorted out our itineraries including purchasing a new flight ticket to Manchester at the cost of RM6,196.00 for two and changed the travel Insurance coverage to worldwide instead of South East Asia at the price of RM 240.00 (Only for me). Once the two most important things…
