The Last Dragon King
The Dragon King is looking for a wife.
This news throws the women in my village into a tizzy. The king will be sending out the royal guard to bring women of childbearing age to his castle in Jade City.
There is only one requirement: the woman must carry enough magic to produce an heir for him.
I’m a watered-down human with a mere ten percent dragon magic lineage, I know I won’t be chosen, but for some reason the magic sniffers command me to present myself to the king as a possible wife.

This first book of the Kings of Avalier series takes us to the Dragon Kingdom. Valdren, AKA Drae, the last Dragon King, is urgently looking for a female with strong enough magic to bear him heir. So, he sent in his sniffer to sniff out any strong candidates all over his kingdom, even to the Cinder Village, where a mixed breed with outcast and low-level magic residents resides.
Meanwhile, Arwen has been working hard to provide food for her mum and little sister ever since her dad died, and she never once thought she could be selected from her village as one of the potential candidates because her parents were mixed humans and only had low magic. At least, that’s what she thought until her mum told her to run away and that she wasn’t her biological daughter.
Readers will feel the urge to unravel the mystery behind Arwen’s lineage and the king’s urgency in having an heir, and some will feel sad over Arwen’s fate and the arrangement situation. But, whatever it’s, Arwen’s journey in the Dragon Kingdom will end with HEA. So, do not hesitate to read this book because Leia Stone is a talented writer, and she knows how to poke and prod your emotions.
The Broken Elf King
I never should have taken that loan but my aunt needed the meds and they were too expensive for me to afford by myself. Now I’ve been sold to slavery and the Nightfall Queen’s guards have found out I’m not entirely human.
I guess I’m lucky they didn’t kill me.
The next thing I know I’m transferred to the Elf King’s castle to find out that he has bought me. It will take me five years to pay off the debt but I get to be his personal assistant. Personal assistant to the king. That can’t be so bad, right?
Wrong. Oh how wrong I was.
His council has tasked me with finding him a wife before they will fund his war against the Nightfall Queen. That part should be easy, he’s rich, disgustingly handsome, and smart to boot. The problem? He’s rejecting every high born female I send his way.
The more time we spend together, the more we realize I’m not just some half elf. There is a deep power that runs through my veins, one that makes me a target. His solution?
Enter into a fake marriage with him so that he can get the council off his back and I can get some protection.
That’s a great idea, so long as I don’t fall in love with him.

My thoughts…
The second story in this Avalier Kings series is about the Elf King, Raife Lightstone. We first encountered him in the first book when Arwen was injured, and Drae begged Raife to heal her. By then, we already knew that Raife had a beef with the nightfall queen and was hell-bent on getting revenge.
Now, through this book, together with Kailani Rose Dulane, a girl from Nightfall City who currently poses as a new personal assistant to the king, we learn more about the sad story that broke the Elf King and shaped him into the current state.
Since Kailani is from the Nightfall, and the Nightfall queen values their residents to be intellectual, Kailani is well educated. However, she does not have any fighting skills. So, it’s understandable that this book doesn’t have many fighting scenes (only two chapters) and more of an emotional battle.
Kailani is helpless with her growing feelings towards her boss, and while she tries to act professionally, the king always gives her a mixed signal. Hence, the confused state she is. Anyway, my only complaint about the story is that by the end of the book, it feels like Kailani’s life story isn’t complete, as it abruptly ends when Raife takes over the POV.
I hope we’ll get to read about her in the future again, and hopefully, the girls teaming up together. It would be awesome😉 . Currently, in the girl team, we have a badass Dragon and an intelligent girl, and I can’t wait to meet the other two girls!
The Ruthless Fae King
Lucien Thorne is the most vile monster in all of Thorngate. As Winter King, he rules our land with an iron fist and a cold, dead heart. And my father has just informed me that I am betrothed to marry him….
As the Princess of Fall, it is my duty to marry whatever suitor my father chooses for me, but Lucien is not someone I can fathom spending the rest of my life with. Not even for duty.
When he arrives to negotiate my dowry, I break protocol and take matters into my own hands. But the more time I spend with this mysterious man, the more I wonder if the rumors about him are even true.
As I get to know the real Lucien, I start to discover that there is a dark history in his family, one that explains his ruthless behavior. One I plan to expunge if I am ever to live out my life in the Winter Palace in peace.
As much as I want to hate Lucien Thorne and everything he’s done to our realm… I cannot deny my heart.
My thoughts…
Before starting with the third king in the Avalier Realm, I questioned myself about the differences between Elf and Fae. I always thought they were similar. After reading this book, at least in Avalier realm, physically, they are the same with pointy ears. Abilities-wise, Elf’s power is more to healing, empath and excellent with the bow, and the Fae is more to manipulating nature’s elements.
Love story-wise, between the three couples, I love Madelynn and Lucien’s love story. In the beginning, Madelynn hates Lucien, but eventually, she learns not to trust all the rumours about him. The relationship building is sweet, but the tragic event that follows suit is the most brutal one.
On the other hand, did Madelynn lose her engagement ring from Lucien? I thought for sure it would appear during the wedding but, no. They don’t need rings to seal the marriage but a poem😉. Also, the Nightfall queen should make up her mind. Either she rid the world of any magic users with her technologies, or she changes her mind and takes all the power to herself, and she alone fights all the champions😄 .
Overall, I’m pleased with how the story goes so far. My wish came true with all three heroines working together, and I cannot wait to read about the girls’ trip in the next book and get to know the final member of the girl team and his partner.
The Forbidden Wolf King
Axil Moon broke my heart when I was fifteen and I’ve dreamed of getting revenge ever since. So when he becomes the king of all Wolven and summons me to compete for his hand in marriage in the deadly Queen Trials, I gladly accept.
I want nothing more than to defeat the competition and leave him cold and alone when I slam the bedroom door in his face every night. Axil Moon will regret the day he thought he could discard me and get away with it.
But the Axil I expect isn’t the one waiting for me. This grown Axil is different from the teenage boy I loved. This Axil begs me to believe it was never his choice to leave me, and my heart is torn. Now I have to try and stay alive in order to see what could be between us, but all the while there is an enemy in our midst and war on our border that could overturn the world as I know it, and all I can do is fight to keep that world alive.
My thoughts…
Oh, Hades, we have reached the final book, and I’m not ready to say goodbye to this world. Could you please write another book, Leia Stone? You may write the Nightfall King’s wife-to-be and let the queen team work together to eradicate the bloodsucker, once and for all, and in the epilogue, fast forward it to twenty years, and let us read about the tin box’s messages 😉.
I’m hooked on the fantasy world Leia Stone keeps developing. It’s a world with the residents being Elves, Fae, shifters of Werewolves and Dragons, and badass heroines who will find their loved ones and save the day.
The tales are addictive, and I can’t stop reading from one book to another. It’s non-stop action from the first page, and by the end, you’re wishing it wasn’t over. I especially enjoy the team-up work and the friendship in the story. It’s a fantastic big fat five-star series, and I highly recommend this.
