My thoughts…
Fast-paced and action-packed!
Wow, had I not started reading this book late at night, I would have devoured it in one sitting.
The opening novel of the series commences with exhilarating action. Solaris Levant, the female protagonist, embarks on a mission to steal an aircraft owned by Turstan, the Chief Minister of Equality in Imera. Unfortunately, she crashes it in Shadow Lands, the territory between Imera and Draconis.
Imera is the territory land for humans, and Draconis for the Nocturnes, AKA the Vampires. The two races were separated over a century ago, fearing a prophecy long foretold by the seers. Any interactions between the two are punishable by death. Thus, the Nocturnes have no access to human blood and rely on synthetic blood for sustenance.
The prophecy:
Meanwhile, Prince Kaige Stramonox, the male protagonist, has consistently been a rule-abiding, honourable, and ideal prince compared to his twin, Xander. They are soon going to compete in trials for the throne. However, upon stumbling into the plane crash and saving Solaris, things are about to change.
The plane carrying something that changes the foundation of the divided nations. But who are the responsible parties? What’s the end game? How is the prophecy unfolding?
The storyline in the story has rekindled my passion for reading after a previous series left me disheartened. The forbidden intermingling between the two races and the risk, coupled with the suspense and intrigue surrounding the unfolding prophecy, captivated and drew me into this captivating tale.
Not only did I adore both characters, but they possessed complementary traits. Solaris’s mischievous, headstrong, and brave nature contrasted with Kaige’s disciplined, serious, and self-controlled demeanour. Their exceptional talents in various aspects made them the perfect duo to complement one another.
I can’t wait to read the next book! What will be Solaris’s punishment upon her return? Will the bond between the two characters be severed due to the distance? Will Kaige prevail in the trial? What new trouble will Xander bring?
Dark Divide

My thoughts…
Brilliant continuation!
I initially believed this book couldn’t surpass its predecessor, but I was mistaken. The narrative continues to astound me with its abundant actions and emotional spectrum, especially about the couple.
In this second book, there are numerous touching scenes that I love. Amongst them is when Kaige decides to forgo the trials and heads to Imera to save Solaris, strengthening their bond through blood sharing. The other is when the queen intervenes and stands by Kaige and Solaris.
This book had answered all the queries I had from the previous one except for one lingering question: how will the prophecy unfold? My wish for the last book is to have Solaris’s friends join forces in the final confrontation.
Dark Oblivion
There’s no stopping a prophecy.
Solaris and Kaige can no longer deny their feelings. And their world is about to pay the ultimate price.
Death is quickly spreading through Imera, endangering all the inhabitants of Draconis in the process. Synth is running out, and the nocturnes are becoming dangerously restless. When rations dip too low for the taranoi, a rebellion erupts and not everyone makes it out alive.
The forbidden couple’s secrets are exposed, making neither world safe for the star-crossed pair. As their enemies draw ever closer, Kaige and Solaris take refuge in the ominous Shadow Lands. There they stumble upon a pivotal discovery that could change everything.
Can Kaige and Solaris stop the disease ravaging the humans and save the nocturnes or will they all perish as the prophecy foretold?
My thoughts…
Great conclusion.
From the beginning to the end, Kaige and Solaris experience an unceasing adrenaline rush, navigating through non-stop action to surmount the obstacles in their way. Heartache and an unexpected alliance that alters history looms for the couple.
I have been contemplating the blurry shadow they encountered in the Shadow Lands, and we finally receive an explanation in this book. They are the latecomer who contributes to resolving the chaos.
In summary, the Vampire Prophecy Series is a must-read for those who appreciate quick-paced, lighthearted, and enjoyable literature that culminates in a cheerful conclusion.
