Day Out in Manchester

Our trip this time was about to reach the end. With only two more days left In the UK, we went to Manchester city centre by Metro from Hollinwood to Market Street.

While I was doing the shopping at Primark, Mike was waiting for me at Shakespeare and had a few pints. Once I finished with my shopping, I joined him for a pint before we moved on to another bar walking past the beautiful Town Hall.

We went in for a quick pint at The Old Nags Head. The selection of beers was great, and there were many pictures of George Best hung on the wall and also some quotes by him.

By the time we finished our last beers, it was time for dinner. So, we went to an Italian cuisine restaurant, Don Marco. The restaurant was located on Liverpool Road, and it took us about 7 7-minute walk.

The place had a great ambience; the food was lovely, and the staff were friendly and professional. We will come again in future. (Note to myself: I do not like Olive!)

Departing from Manchester at 9:05 pm, we reached Abu Dhabi after 7 hours and 15 minutes. The Stopover was 3 hours 30 minutes before continuing our journey at 10:50 am local time. By the time we reached Kuala Lumpur International Airport, it was already 10:10 pm.

For the night, we stayed at The YouniQ Hotel located about 19 minutes drive. The driver was already waiting for us when we emerged from the arrival gate. That night, I slept like a log because I’d been staying awake throughout the entire flight.

The next morning we took a taxi to KLIA and flew back to Penang with an AirAsia flight.
