The Bachelorette Supernatural Edition
The irony is if news broke of a new reality show titled ‘The Bachelorette: Supernatural Edition,’ I doubt many of us would be shocked. After all, we’ve been desensitized by years of fantasy novels, haven’t we?😄
This first instalment in the Hitched series provides a gentle introduction to the fantasy world, ideal for newcomers. However, seasoned readers of the genre may find the pace slow, as the unveiling of supernatural elements occurs relatively late, well past the 60% mark of the story.
Nevertheless, we now know what kind of supernatural we will encounter in the realm of Azar. With seven more series to unravel, the anticipation for the adventure that awaits in binge-reading this captivating world of Azar is almost unbearable.
Anyway, back to the Hitched series, in this first book, the perpetrator of the life-threatening situation that Kimmie-Jayne Starr faced remains a mystery. Could the motivation be political advancement or the actions of a scorned suitor? Meanwhile, Kimmie-Jayne’s romantic future remains uncertain, especially if this isn’t a reverse harem story.
All the remaining ten bachelors have been depicted as exemplary gentlemen of their supernatural species. Yet, with the revelation right at the end of the story, the vacant position, may I suggest, requires humans to make it fair, and the potential candidate, conceivably, could be the camera operator, Cross.😉
I cannot wait to read the twists and turns and the challenges that Kimmie will encounter in her quest to find love and fame. To make it interesting, might I also suggest the potential presence of disguised enemies among her chosen companions? 🫣
The Top Ten

To make things worse, the mysterious accidents that were supposed to end with the big supernatural reveal are back with a vengeance.
As if choosing between ten hot guys wasn’t hard enough, Kimmie-Jayne still needs to watch her back. With more twists and secrets being revealed everyday, is there anyone she can really trust?
Will following her heart be the answer or her ultimate downfall as she narrows it down to the final five bachelors?
My thoughts…
While I enjoyed the first book, the second one truly surpassed it. The faster pace and focus on the ten bachelors allowed for a deeper exploration of their unique personalities and supernatural powers, making the story much more engaging.
While my suggestion about the vacant spot was not acted upon, I am content with the outcome. The mystery, however, remains unresolved. However, with Kimmie-Jayne surrounded by protective males, it is only a matter of time before we unravel the truth behind the life-threatening situations that have plagued her.
I’m so hyped for the next instalment! It promises an exciting adventure with deeper insights into the final five bachelors, their territories, and their family members. Kimmie-Jayne’s story has me buzzing with excitement, and this series is such a delightful, light read.
The Final Five
Five bachelors left. Four mystical families to meet and territories to explore. Four chances to avoid a supernatural war.
Kimmie-Jayne thought discovering the bachelors were supernatural was tough, until she finds out she has to spend the week with their families.
Now she’s whisked off to meet four of the most powerful families of Azar. If she can survive dragon lords, daunting angels, the intrigue of Fae court, and the Underworld, she’ll end up with the man of her dreams. Or so she hopes.
But nothing is as it seems in each of these households, and perils loom in every corner of the vast estates. As more secrets and betrayals surge to the surface, Kimmie-Jayne can’t deny that following her heart might get her killed.
Will the men she loves be able to protect her or will the supernatural world prove too much for her as she struggles to choose the final two?
My thoughts…
Kimmie-Jayne’s journey to find love is heating up! Having narrowed her options to five potential partners, she will now meet their families, gauge their acceptance, and further explore her feelings. This next stage will allow her to see who she could envision sharing her life with.
This third book also answers the life-threatening situations Kimmie-Jayne faced in the previous two books. While the three choices she needs to eliminate remain unanswered until the next book, I think I know the answer.
In terms of the final chosen one, I’m pretty sure the advantage that one of the bachelors has with Kimmie is a game changer, and in that case, it’s a done deal since the second book.
Lucifer’s cryptic message about Kimmie-Jayne’s father is a puzzle I can’t ignore. What does it mean? I’m also left wondering if Kimmie-Jayne’s dream is simply a nightmare or a future vision. We will soon find out. It’s going to be exciting!
The One
The time has come to pick The One.
With one bachelor missing and chaos in her heart, Kimmie-Jayne must find the strength to choose the final two. Once that terrible decision is made, she’s sure things will be easier.
But she’s wrong.
When jealousy flares within the manor, the producers have no choice but to sequester the final two bachelors. As Kimmie-Jayne battles her fracturing heart, torn between two men, news of a surprise visit home sends her hopes soaring.
But it’s short-lived.

My thoughts…
Despite the easily predicted suitor, I found enjoyment in the twists and turns in this last book. While my suspicions about Kimmie-Jayne’s father and her dreams were ultimately confirmed, the resolution provided satisfactory closure.
This series is a captivating blend of extraordinary world-building and unforgettable characters, a recipe for a truly immersive experience. From the charming to the dark, each character in this series will leave a lasting impression. Suitable for anyone who enjoys a blend of supernatural, romance, fun, and adventure, all leading to a satisfying happily-ever-after.
I look forward to embarking on countless more adventures, hopefully with the beloved characters from this series throughout the seven upcoming instalments set within the world of Azar.
